The PowerShot Pro1 uses a lithium ion battery pack (BP-511A) with approximately 26% greater shooting capacity than BP-511 used in the EOS DIGITAL series and the PowerShot G series. It features an 1100 mAh capacity.
When used with camcorders, the BP-511A gives you a maximum recording time of 2 1/2 hours using the viewfinder, or 2 hours using the LCD screen.
