Found this a pricey item by my standards, but all the other reviews said it's a good wheel and worth it. Since I'm not really a gamer, but just wanted something for when folks with kids come to visit, I appreciated the ease of installation and the kick it gives me, situated in front of a 55" TV and running Grand Tourismo 5
on a theater-quality sound system, including double-woofers (nice rush....). It feels durable enough, and I'm glad I didn't have to figure out how to fine-tune, calibrate, etc. In other words, it ran right out of the box on my PS-3. Yes, even though I'm a novice, I really appreciate user reviews from all levels before I buy something. So for all you beginners out there, rest easy buying this one.

Overall a great wheel. The shifter is not very practical to use because of it's position, but the paddles aren't that bad. If the shifter is something you can't give up go with the G27, otherwise the DFGT is a great wheel for the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 Logitech DFGT
FIrst of all this is my second wheel and the game I bought this wheel for was is Gran Turismo 5. My first wheel was the logitech driving force pro and I bought it right when it came out and I was thoroughly dissapointed. It's force feedback was nothing like real life and for me, I couldn't "connect" with the car I was driving.
The Logitech Driving Force GT was specifically tailored for Gran Turismo 5 which completely utilizes all of it's cool functions such as changing the settings of your car on the fly (during the race). And although it also works for other racing games such as variations of Need for Speed and Dirt, etc. not all the same functions in GT5 may work in these games.
Regarding the looks, it looks great. Regarding the Mounting points, it's the same as the Driving for Pro. Regarding the Force Feedback, BETTER, but not perfect. I say it isn't perfect because I've been to the track many times and the sensation of correcting oversteer isn't the same. It's better than the driving for pro in that it actually captures the idea of how it is to correct oversteer. Understeer's not a problem for the wheel because the wheel doesn't have to move at all to experience understeer like in real life. However for oversteer the feeling's completely different, but as I said, the DFGT sort of "captures" the real thing. In due time, when you learn the characteristics of the DFGT, it's very realistic and fun.
