Rated 5 out of 5Â by PCUG Excellent performance, fast in Raid environment I use 5 of these drives in my Modified-Raid 5 NAS. They run very quiet, have fast response times, and run 10 to 15 degrees below other NAS specific drives (90 - 95 F). I use the NAS to replace tape backup and it runs flawlessly. I also stream movies and music to my wireless devices at the same time, with never a hiccup on the NAS side. I definitely recommend these drives for close-proximity operation. June 2, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Jedibugs Must-have for any NAS After experiencing several expensive drive failures, I decided to replace all 4 of my NAS drives one at a time with the WD Red drives. It'ss been several months with them all installed and I haven't gotten so much as a cursory note of warning from my NAS. It's a mighty-heavily used NAS, and with several other brands of drive, I've gotten total failures well before this point. May 31, 2013
