This version of the HP StorageWorks MSL8096 Tape Library comes with four LTO-5 Ultrium Tape Drives and FC 8Gb/s connectivity.
The HP StorageWorks MSL8096 Tape Library meets a broad range of demanding data storage needs including unattended backup, archive and disaster recovery for medium to large businesses, workgroups, or remote offices. The HP MSL8096 Tape Library offers up to 288TB of compressed storage capacity in an 8U form factor. The LTO-5 Ultrium 3280 Tape Drive configuration provides encryption support. In addition, you may add a second power supply for enhanced system uptime.
You can be assured that the MSL8096 meets the highest performance standards of larger tape libraries with a rating of 2 million Mean Swaps Between Failures (MSBF). The MSL8096 enables you to easily manage your media both in and out of the library with a standard barcode reader and eight 12-slot removable magazines. A standard barcode reader, quarter VGA operator control panel, up to 15 configurable import/export mail slots and a viewing window with interior illumination enable easy operator interaction with the library.
