I can't seem to do this. Can't find step by step directions. I've followed the directions I CAN find. Anyone know step by step directions?

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Brian Epson V370 Scanner
This is a great scanner and with an excellent price.
And because nobody seems to write about it, I've used it to sample the depth of field (DOF) of about 3/4 inch so far. It may go further. So it works great to capture 3D (three dimensional) objects. Just the way my old Epson Perfection 2450 did. It scans 2x2 slides with no problem and I'm sure it will do film and prints very nicely too. I miss the old 2450, but this V370 is much more compact and the cover opens from the side rather than the end.
Also a note on connecting to a computer running Windows 7 or maybe all computers. I had a problem getting the computer to recognize the scanner. I was using a USB extension cable. Seems this is a no-no. I removed it and plugged the scanner directly into the computer and everything worked, like magic. I'm sure it's the ferrite beads at each end of the cable that stop noise passing through the cable did the trick. So just use the cable supplied and it'll work fine.
So there it is. A great quality, budget priced scanner with great DOF and it does Widows too! I recommend this to all photo hobbyists or anyone who needs a scanner for any use.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Idletime Works as advertised -- everything I wanted
I just started using it this afternoon and it works great.. I bought it primarily for scanning 35mm slides into my computer and after a minimal amount of fumbling (I'm NOT a techie) I was up and running -- now I start my rather large project of scanning some of those old slides so they don't get lost ...

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Photo Nut Epson V370 combined with an Epson R 2000
These are my first two Epson products I have ever bought. And so far I am quite pleased In the past I used to use film cameras and have a great number of Slides and Negatives that scanned really well and printed off even better. My first Epson purchase was the R 2000 Photo Printer and two weeks later I bought the V 370 to compliment the printer. The colours and the quality of scanning and printing are some of the best I have every seen. I would recomend these products to anyone who takes their photgraphy seriously.
