Rated 1 out of 5Â by Gordon Ink consumption is extreme
Superb print quality and functionality, but this printer eats ink. Once one cartridge is empty (after 10 pages max), you cannot print. It is infuriating to not be able to print a black text document only because one color cartridges is empty.
Also, when installing a new cartridge, get ready to spend 1/2 an hour doing up to 5 nozzle checks before it prints without skips.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Janet I have received my 2nd XP-800 All in One and it is worse than the first one. It didn't want to load and now it print just like the first one. Would like to get another Epson, but don't know what to try.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Ferdinand Taking it back to the store
I purchased this XP-800 printer on Feb. 14, 2013 and it has done very well with letters. However, when I need it to print checks (either standard or wallet), Avery labels, or envelopes this printer is nothing but trouble. It does not matter which paper feed tray or slot I use, this device is basically useless. I now write checks and envelopes with a pen, and can only do labels one page at a time through the rear feed.
I have had good success with Epson printers in the past but this one has taken me over the edge. I will consult Consumer Reports and then buy something that has a good rating.
Thanks.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Jimbob I'VE READ ALL THESE REVIEWS!
Having bought this Epson before, I do know personally' they make great printers. I am now ready to buy this XP-800 over the XP-600, mainly because of the sale price it offered, with a few dollars more, this is it! Weighing the Pros an Cons, the excellent features an speed has far outweigh the minor issues. All printers are not perfect, the only issue I have is hoping someday Epson can find a way to give consumers lower Ink costs for this model.
