Edgeport USB-to-Serial Converters offer plug-and-play COM port expansion for mission-critical applications requiring reliable, high-performance I/O connectivity. The Edgeport is an external, user-installable solution, so implementation does not require removing the PC’s chassis, reconfiguring or powering down the system. Various models are available for flexible I/O expansion: One-, Two-, four-, eight-, and sixteen-ports; multi-interface; and EIA-232, -422, and -485 serial interface specifications.
