The eSATA II PCIe Pro easily adds 2 external eSATA ports to your PCIe equipped desktop. This PCI Express 1-lane (x1) SATA II adapter works with PCI Express slots with different lane width. It installs in any available PCI Express slot and supports data transfer rates up to 3.0Gbps (300Mbps). Featuring the latest eSATA (external SATA) connectors to provide the mose convenient way to add high speed, high capacity hard disk drives, this card is RoHS compliant and supports hard disk hot-plugging. Rated 2 out of 5Â by AdGuy wouldn't work for me The product description stated that it would work with Mac OS 10.4 or later. Very fortunately I double-checked with the manufacturer before installing and they said they did not know if it would work with my OS 10.5.5 -- and suggested that I should not use the product. MacConnection was very good about accepting the return -- but it was still a hassle to have to repack, reship, order a different card and wait for it to get shipped. Manufacturer's fault for not being more specific in their on-line specifications. December 6, 2008
