There are lots of ways you can extend distances between a single IBM PC compatible computer and a user station (keyboard, monitor, and mouse). But what if you want to link multiple computers to multiple dedicated stations? Instead of buying sets of Extenders, consider a Rackmount ServSwitch Brand CAT5 KVM Extender. Here's how it works: install an Extender Hub in the same rack where your computer CPUs are installed (or just on a desktop if you aren't using a rack). Attach the CPUs to the Hub with short extension cables. Then run inexpensive Category 5 twisted-pair cabling from the Hub to smaller, distributed Remote Units that you'll plug your user-station equipment into.
The ACU1006DSRA is a 6-port Dual-Access KVM/Serial model that both supports a local user station and transmits RS-232 to the remote station.
