IronView delivers an Element Management System that works under a variety of UNIX and Windows NT platforms, allowing Foundry's customers to manage any of Foundry's products from a central management system. Foundry also employs embedded-http to allow for management using any browser, which ensures an independent platform for managing any Foundry products. Foundry's IronView works with HP OpenView, the de facto standard for network management systems, delivering a complete network management solution.
The IronView Network Manager consists of a central server and multiple clients that can create device configuration instances that can be applied to Foundry devices on the network using a web-based interface. The IronView Network Manager can poll devices and build a device configuration database through automatic device discovery. The Manager schedules tasks such as scenarios, software image, and configuration deployment. The IronView Network Manager allows managing configurations and software images of multiple devices. Configure user authentication such as RADIUS, TACACS, TACACS+, and user profiles. Upload and download configuration information and software using TFTP. The IronView Network Manager also manages and applies configuration changes globally.
