VMware NSX Network Virtualization and Security Platform
NSX enables the creation of entire networks in software and embeds them in the hypervisor layer, abstracted from the underlying physical hardware. All network components can be provisioned in minutes, without the need to modify the application.
What You Missed at VMworld
VMworld is VMware’s premier thought leadership and education destination for cloud infrastructure and digital workspace technology professionals. If you missed this year’s conference, Connection has got you covered.
Watch our webinar recap of the event, where host James Hilliard and VMware's own Scott March, VMware Systems Engineer, discuss all the action from VMworld 2017. This is an indispensable event where you will discover the technology, trends, and people shaping the future of digital business. Learn more about the industry’s top thought leaders, subject matter experts, and IT professionals’ discussions regarding the latest cloud infrastructure and business mobility technology.
Three Different Use Cases
- Security—NSX embeds security functions right into the hypervisor. It delivers micro-segmentation and granular security to the individual workload, enabling a fundamentally more secure data center. Security policies travel with the workloads, independent of where workloads are in the network topology.
- Automation—NSX lets you treat your physical network as a pool of transport capacity, with network and security services attached to workloads using a policy-driven approach. This automates networking operations and eliminates bottlenecks associated with hardware-based networks.
- Application Continuity—NSX abstracts networking from the underlying hardware and attaches networking and security policies to their associated workloads. Applications and data can reside and be accessible anywhere. Move workloads from one data center to another, or deploy them into a hybrid cloud environment.
Modernize Your Data Center's DNA
Your data center has evolved into a sophisticated, virtualized powerhouse. However your data center has changed, so have security threats. Traditional security solutions are no longer enough to keep your organization secure. You need to build security into the DNA of your data center.
